MOTORVAULT is pleased to offer this 2009 Superformance GT40 MkII, chassis GT40P2176.
Finished in silver with black center stripes, this GT40 has been extensively developed beyond its original Superformance configuration. At the center of the build is a Keith Craft 427 cubic inch Ford V8 paired with a Dallas Performance twin turbo system. The combination produced 850.36 horsepower and 746.7 lb ft of torque at the rear wheels, putting estimated engine output comfortably above 1,000 horsepower.
Power is delivered through a six speed sequential transmission with electronic shifting and a KCM twin disc clutch.
The car has approximately 91 indicated miles and received extensive service and sorting in 2026.

HISTORY & PROVENANCE
Chassis GT40P2176 was previously offered at the 2023 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, where it was described as a highly developed Superformance GT40 powered by a Keith Craft twin turbo 427ci small block Ford V8.
Barrett-Jackson represented the car as producing approximately 1,200 horsepower and as having more than $480,000 invested in its build and development. Their description also documented the Dallas Performance twin turbo system, air to water intercooler setup, billet intake and manifold, custom AEM ECU, six speed manual transmission with electric shift, KCM custom twin disc clutch, adjustable suspension and Superformance BRM style knock off wheels.
The prior auction description also noted a custom suede interior with MOMO electronics, air conditioning, Passport 360 radar, retractable GPS display, stereo system with subwoofer and electric mirrors. The car was further represented as being listed in the Shelby World Registry.
Barrett-Jackson identified the vehicle as titled as a 2009 Ford Kit and stated that the title was branded Prior Salvage. MOTORVAULT is presenting that information as part of the car’s documented prior auction history and buyers should review the current title directly as part of their due diligence.
Since that appearance, the current owner has continued to improve and sort the car. The previous green exterior treatment was removed and the body was refinished in its current silver with black center stripes. The car has also received more than $7,300 in documented 2026 service and repair work, including a replacement Superformance radiator, battery replacement, electrical work, door adjustment and interior panel repairs.
Chassis dyno sheet records 850.36 horsepower and 746.7 lb ft of torque at the wheels, providing documented output for the car in its current configuration.
CONDITION
The car presents as a purpose built enthusiast car rather than a restored original or untouched showpiece.
The silver finish presents well overall with normal imperfections consistent with use, age and the nature of the build. Detailed photos are provided throughout the gallery showing the exterior finish, underside, engine compartment, mechanical systems, cockpit, wheels and trim.
The interior shows light wear consistent with the construction and use of the car.
As with any highly modified specialty vehicle, prospective buyers are encouraged to inspect the car personally or arrange for an independent inspection before purchase.
WHY WE LOVE IT
The Superformance GT40 is already one of the more convincing ways to experience the proportions and layout of Ford's original GT40 without stepping into seven figure original car territory.
This one is something entirely different.
The 427, twin turbos and sequential gearbox fundamentally change the character of the car while leaving the visual formula largely intact. At 850 horsepower to the wheels, it has far more performance than the appearance alone suggests, but the build remains centered around the mechanical simplicity and raw layout that makes the GT40 interesting in the first place.
It is not trying to be an original GT40.
It is a very serious interpretation of one.
