Track-Focused NA Miata with Documented Engine Build, Haltech ECU, and Over $10k in Recent Investment

This 1993 Mazda Miata presents as a well-prepared, competition-focused chassis purpose built for track use. Outfitted with core race safety equipment including a battery kill switch, fire suppression system, gutted interior, window nets, and multi-point harnesses, the car reflects its dedicated motorsport intent and readiness for continued use on track. The chassis rides on a Bilstein suspension package known for its predictable handling and durability, offering a balanced and confidence-inspiring driving experience. Power comes from a built cylinder head paired with a Haltech Elite 1500 ECU, producing a documented 131 wheel horsepower.

Significant mechanical investment has been made to support both performance and reliability. Most notably, a comprehensive engine rebuild and supporting systems were completed by Eccentric Motorsports in August 2025, with an included invoice totaling $10,353. This work encompassed a full engine rebuild with new components, a custom Haltech engine harness, dyno tuning, upgraded cooling system with aluminum radiator, fuel system improvements, ignition upgrades, and extensive supporting service items throughout. Further supporting the engine package, the cylinder head was built by The Winning Formula Inc., with documentation included. Completed in May 2019, this build utilized a BP4W head from a later-model Miata and incorporates Tomei intake and exhaust camshafts, SuperTech oversized valves, stainless intake and exhaust valves, shim-under-bucket lifters, and upgraded valve springs.

Aerodynamic and cooling enhancements have been thoughtfully integrated for sustained on-track performance. The car features a ProCarInnovations rear wing, along with a custom quick-release front splitter and air dam. Functional brake ducting and radiator ducting improve thermal management during extended sessions, while recently added hood ducting further enhances airflow and cooling efficiency.

Overall, this Miata represents a well-sorted and thoughtfully developed track car, combining a strong safety foundation with documented performance, cooling, and reliability upgrades. It offers an engaging and capable platform for continued track use or further refinement depending on the next owner’s goals.
