This 99 Boxster was purchased by Atlanta Speedwerks in 2021 and purchased by the first track owner in 2021 and ran a year of PCA Club racing and a couple of DE events in 2021 into 2022 and stopped using the car in late 2022. The second owner purchased in early 2023 and entered in DE’s it at Mid-Ohio and Putnam Park in 2023. Seeing less than five DE’s in total. As of early 2025, we sent the vehicle to Winning Formula in Louisville to have the vehicle inspected and brought up to date on all service investing $10k; fresh fluids, new clutch, new brakes, passenger seat install for coaching, relocation of cool suit plus several items itemized below.
We picked up the vehicle in late February 2025 from Winning Formula and have added a few hundred miles during private lapping days at Putnam Park. Vehicle is ready to be driven and enjoyed.

Recent Service History:
January 2025 - Winning Formula - $10,225.48
Motorsports Tech Inspection
Performed motorsports tech inspection and hardware check.
INSPECTION:
* monitored all four wheel bearings with stethoscope.
- confirmed TWO failed wheel bearings (left front and left rear).
- bearings are SMOKED!!!
* vehicle is still using stock caliper bolts (high failure liability in motorsport).
- now would be a good time to considering upgrading to caliper studs from Tarett.
* checked engine coolant strength.
- freeze point measured at +10 degrees Fahrenheit.
- consider slightly stronger 40:60 ratio for vehicles residing/transported in winter climates.
* battery mount loose, battery able to slide back and forth in mount.
- adjusted mount and tightened all hardware.
* spotter mirror loose.
- tightened.
* wheel stud age, service history?
- stud manufacturer's recommend 1-2 year replacement interval.
* radio "head unit" loose behind driver's seat.
- removed after discussing with customer.
* driver shoulder harnesses not properly secured.
- left side harness can gradually shift "around the corner" creating potentially dangerous angle to
driver.
+ added 1.5" aluminum split collars to secure harness in proper position.
+ tidied and secured excess harness webbing.
HARDWARE CHECK:
* checked suspension, subframes, motor mounts, exhaust, etc.
- several exhaust manifold bolts under-torqued.
- two mid-pipe flange bolts under-torqued.
- front tension arm to LCA bolts under-torqued.
- rear subframe cross member bolts under-torqued.
* noted caster disparity in rear suspension assembly.
- rear tension arms are fastened to differing holes on LCA's.
+ check bumpsteer geometry during suspension setup service.
* re-clamped right rear outboard axle boot.
800.00
* hardware checked shifter cables inside car.
- one cable end jam nut completely loose.
* high pressures PS hose needs to be secured to prevent fatigue (see photo).
- secured with M6 bolt, spacer, and P-clamp.
Labor
Performed wheel bearing, wheel stud and caliper stud services (grouped service due to labor overlap)
* removed complete suspension spindles from vehicle to perform wheel bearing services.
* carefully extracted one damaged caliper bolt on right front corner.
- this is precisely why we recommend caliper studs for motorsport use!
+ spec'd and ordered caliper stud kits for all four brake corners.
* pressed out all old hubs/bearings.
- one bearing retaining bolt on right front spindle broke due to heavy corrosion.
+ this spindle appears to be older than others on vehicle
* (likely a replacement sourced from salvage yard).
- attempted to extract, but fastener continued to break apart in spindle.
+ ultimately, opted to drill/tap hole for repair.
* removed and replaced all wheel studs during service.
- chased/cleaned threads prior to new stud installation.
+ clean threads critical for proper thread locking compound adhesion.
* cleaned spindles in parts washer.
* pressed new bearings into spindles.
* pressed hubs into new bearings.
* reinstalled spindles to vehicle.
* repaired damaged threads in right front caliper mounting.
- performed helicoil thread repair prior to stud installation.
* installed caliper mounting studs in all four spindles.
* reassembled brake components.
Motorsports brake fluid flush
Flushed brake hydraulics with high-temp motorsports fluid.
* cleaned bleeder fittings and leak checked.
240.00T
Oil Change
Changed engine oil and filter.
* spec'd and ordered correct non-OE oil filter (K&N).
120.00T
Labor
Replaced transaxle gear oil.
* operated gear oil cooler pump and plugged line while topping fluid level up.
- ensure correct fill level with respect to added capacity from cooler components.
240.00T
Labor
Adjusted engine coolant/water ratio; targeting 0 degree freeze temp.
* drained 1 gallon of coolant from system.
* refilled with full strength antifreeze to bolster mixture ratio.
* pressure tested cooling system during service.
- system holds pressure; no active leaks.
* heat cycled engine to circulate coolant.
- measured coolant freezing point after mixture correction.
+ measured at 0 degrees freeze point for 35:65 mixture ratio.
160.00T
Labor
Performed clutch and dual mass flywheel service.
* drained gear fluid into clean container for reuse.
* removed transmission assembly.
* vehicle fitted with lightweight flywheel and clutch components from Aasco.
- we prefer the OE dual-mass flyhweel for its vibration dampening performance.
* installed new OE dual-mass flywheel and OE 987 clutch.
* reinstalled transmission assembly and related components.
1,400.00T
* observed clutch slave cylinder obstruction during reassembly.
- found clutch pedal improperly adjusted.
- pedal was preloading clutch master cylinder, preventing fluid from returning to reservoir.
- this could cause the clutch to partially disengage (slip) as fluid temperature (and thereby pressure)
increased in the clutch line.
Labor
Adjusted clutch pedal and bled clutch hydraulics.
* adjusted clutch pedal position to desired free-play on master cylinder pushrod.
- proper clutch hydraulic performance after adjustment.
* flushed/bled clutch hydraulics.
240.00
Motorsports Suspension Setup
Motorsports suspension setup service.
* checked alignment values and bumpsteer geometry as delivered.
- as suspected, rear caster disparity causes assymetrical bumpsteer deviations.
+ .04 in/per inch on LR vs .10 out/per inch on RR.
* corrected rear control arm caster disparity.
- moved LR tension arm to centered hole on lower control arm.
+ good bumpsteer symmetry after correction.
* corrected front and rear alignment values.
* corrected corner balance values.
- targeted 51% cross.
- slight wedge for RH dominant circuits like Putnam, Mid-Ohio, Road America.
* finalized alignment values.
- see attached spec sheet.
