The Build :
This Factory Five Type 65 Daytona Coupe was assembled by a private owner using a Factory Five Racing kit and components. The build began in 2018 but paused until 2022 and later completed in 2024. The build was completed with a strong emphasis on mechanical quality, drivability, and period correct hardware. Following its completion, the vehicle was dyno tested and saw no road use. The vehicle was also refined with additional professional interior, electrical, and mechanical work.
The exterior is finished in a Ceramic Grey, an OEM Daimler Chrysler color (paint code PDN), as documented by original paint materials. The interior interior was later professionally finished by Hershy’s Hot Rod Shop, elevating the cabin beyond a standard kit car presentation. The paint itself shows nicely and could use a light final polishing, on the inside everything is presented new and ready to drive. This is a brand new build that is ready to get some miles, although it has not been fully broken in, the engine has been tuned and is ready to drive.
